WE NOW OFFER SAME DAY ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS.  This is in addition to 3 day pre-bookable, same day emergency, online specific appointments and GP+

We are a busy practice and we recognise that sometimes getting an appointment may not be easy and this is why we do offer various alternatives.

We also ask that you do not blame the receptionists if your ideal time is not available. They can only offer what is available and will always do their best to assist you. We do offer a variety of appointments which are book in advance, emergency and telephone consultations.

We currently offer Pre-bookable appointments 3 days in advance and same day for routine GP appointments.  Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments are available throughout the week and are pre-bookable up to 3 months in advance.  Our Practice Nurse works 4 days per week, and our Healthcare Assistant works 3 days per week, ensuring that we always have Nurse and/or HCA appointments 5 days a week.

We also offer emergency appointments for both morning & afternoon surgeries that are bookable on the day only. We offer telephone call back service from one of our clinicians (AM only), again these are bookable on the day.  Please be aware that to book both of these types of appointments, our reception staff will ask you for a reason.  This is to make sure that the appointment is an emergency and that you are going to see the right clinician for your ailment.

If you do not necessarily need to see a GP, then we can also offer GP telephone appointments 4 days a week, these can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance.

We also offer an extended hours surgery available on a Wednesday morning between 07.00 - 08.00.  This is to allow people who work, more of an opportunity to get an appointment.

On top of all our appointments types offered at the surgery, we can also offer additional appointments at GP+, this is a service offered to all city centre residents.  These are pre-booked with our reception staff and are for appointments on Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham.  You will be able to see a variety of clinicians, for a variety of reasons.  Appointments at GP+ are for 4pm-8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday & Sunday mornings.  Please ask our reception team for further details.

As this surgery is a teaching practice, we will sometimes have a medical or Pharmacy student working alongside the doctors. If you do not wish to have the medical or Pharmacy student present, please let the reception staff know when checking in for your appointment.

Also if you wish for a chaperone to be present during your consultation please ask a member of reception staff.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If patients frequently fail to turn up or give enough cancellation notice (24 Hours) they can be removed from our list.

Outside normal surgery hours (evenings, weekends and bank holidays) emergency cover for the practice is provided by NEMS Community Benefit Services Ltd Out of Hours service. The Out of Hours service provides medical care for patients that do not need Emergency Department Care. It is a service that is led by a range of clinical staff such as GPs, Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Emergency Care Practitioners.

This service is for problems which cannot wait until the next available surgery. You will be required to provide full information about your problem and will be expected if required to attend Platform One Practice (based on Station Street, Nottingham) if necessary. Advice may also be given if attending for a face to face appointment is not deemed to be required.

During out of hours you should contact the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it is not a life threatening situation.
